Dell, HP Turning Up Heat on Asian TV Manufacturers

BusinessWeek's Bruce Einhorn has a great in-depth piece this week regarding the challenge that Asian TV manufacturers like Sony, Sharp and Samsung face from North American companies like Dell and HP. Essentially the crux of the story is that these two U.S. PC makers have the buying and distribution clout to drive prices down quickly and establish market share, and are in fact largely responsible for the recent decline in LCD and plasma prices that I and others have reported. It's a good read.
