VOOM Alive Until at Least End of the Month

Cablevision announced late Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with Chuck and Tom Dolan to continue VOOM’s operations until March 31st. The extension allows the father and son duo to seek an alternative transaction that would allow VOOM’s future existence as a stand-alone company. Further details of the agreement were not released, but it is expected that the Dolans will try to re-work or undo the previously announced deal between EchoStar and Cablevision that called for the satellite company to acquire VOOM’s primary orbital assets for $200 million in cash.
