A New Entrant in the HD-DVR Biz

Pace Micro said Monday that it will unveil a high-def digital video recorder (HD-DVR) at the cable industry's big annual confab in San Francisco next week. The new dual-tuner digital set-top box is dubbed "Tahoe" and comes equipped with a 160 GB hard-drive as well as a DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem. Comcast and Time Warner Cable customers will be the first to see it, although there is no actual release date yet for deployment of the new box.
