Hockey Team Paints Ice Blue for HDTV

The Buffalo Sabres have decided that the cure for hockey’s current problems might just be HDTV, and that large expanses of white ice on the screen need to eliminated to make the game more interesting. They can’t get rid of the ice, so they decided to paint it blue for their minor league affiliate, the Rochester Americans. USA Today has the full story. Predictably, hockey purists aren’t happy.
