The 4 C's Meet HDTV

With plasma and LCD TV prices falling precipitously over the last couple of years, the hyper-competitive market has forced manufacturers to come up with new ways to stem the tide of increased sales that actually result in lower profits. To that end, you can now buy a solid 24-karat gold 71-inch plasma TV from LG Electronics for a cool $80,000. (The standard version of that model carries a pricetag of $15,000.)

If you're thinking that a solid gold plasma just isn't quite as ostentatious as your style demands, an Italian company called Keymat Industrie may have your number. How does a diamond-encrusted 40-inch flat-panel sound to you? If you've got 130 grand, you too can mount this beauty above your fireplace.
