LG.Philips Expects Falling LCD Prices to Stabilize

Anticipating strong consumer demand and a reduced supply of inventory, LG.Philips LCD executives said yesterday at an industry panel that they believe LCD panel prices will decline about 15% in 2007, half of the 30% decline experienced last year. LG.Philips is the second-largest manufacturer of large LCD flat-panels, behind Samsung.

LCD flat-panel TVs are largely winning the battle with rival plasma displays in the sub-50 inch category, while plasma still holds a large lead in 50-inches and bigger.
