Pioneer today unveiled its new lineup of plasma displays that the company says will feature the best black levels of any TV you can buy. The eight new PDPs (four Pioneer, four Pioneer Elite) will begin appearing on store shelves in June. The 42" models will be priced at $2,700 and $3,200 (Elite) while the 50-inchers will go for $3,500 and $4,500 (Elite).
Pioneer's new 50" 1080p plasmas will debut in September at a suggested retail price of $5,000 and $6,000 (Elite). The 60-inch 1080p displays will cost $1,500 more.
