Starz Entertainment announced today that the East Coast feeds of Starz Comedy, Starz Edge, and Starz Kids & Family will be available in high-def by the end of this summer. They will join the East and West feeds of the primary Starz HD channel, as well as Starz On Demand HD and Encore On Demand HD.
Some of the movies to be shown in HD include Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
This is good stuff. I'm always happy to report on new HD channel launches, although it will be interesting to see how easily Starz is able to secure carriage deals for its 3 new HD channels.
